STREAMLINING LOAN ORIGINATION WITH DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES: A STUDY ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DIGITAL LENDING PLATFORMS IN BANK BRI
Abstract
The loan origination process is a critical component of the banking industry, as it involves the evaluation, approval, and funding of loans for borrowers. The implementation of digital lending platforms in banking institutions offers significant benefits, including increased efficiency, accuracy, and an enhanced customer experience. It also enables better risk management and cost reductions. However, challenges such as high initial investments, cybersecurity risks, regulatory compliance, technology adoption resistance, and integration issues need to be addressed. By adopting phased implementation strategies, strengthening cybersecurity, ensuring regulatory compliance, providing training, and focusing on seamless integration, institutions can mitigate these limitations and fully leverage the advantages of digital lending platforms. The implementation of digital lending platforms in banking institutions has brought about significant improvements in the loan origination process. The benefits of these platforms include increased efficiency and speed, reduced costs, and improved customer experience. However, there are challenges to the implementation of these platforms, such as resistance to change and data security concerns.
