DETERMINANTS OF INTEREST IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP STUDENTS OF ACCOUNTING UNIVERSITAS IBNU SINA BATAM

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information that Motivation, Knowledge of Entrepreneurship, Family Environment, and Freedom at Work influence Interest in Entrepreneurship in Diploma 3 Accounting study program students at Ibnu Sina University. This research is a quantitative, statistical analysis using the Multiple Linear Regression method by conducting Validity Test, Reliability Test, and Classical Assumption Test. Based on the analysis using the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 application. Partial calculation results (t-test) obtained the results of the Motivation variable (X1) of 2.481 with a significant number of 0.016, the Entrepreneurship Knowledge variable (X2) of 3.080 with a substantial value of 0.003, the Family Environment variable (X3) of 1.623 with a significant number of 0.109 and the variable Freedom to Work (X4) of 1.112 with a significant number of 0.912. And the results of the Simultaneous test (F Test) this researcher obtained a value of 125.644 with a 95% degree of confidence. The conclusion of this study is the first hypothesis that the work environment has a partial effect on employee performance, and the second hypothesis is that communication has a partial effect on employee performance. So the motivation variable (X1) and the family environment variable (X3) obtained insignificant positive results. The Entrepreneurship Knowledge variable (X2) obtained significant positive results, and the Freedom to Work variable (X4) obtained insignificant negative results on the Entrepreneurial Interest variable (Y) in Diploma 3 Accounting study program students at Ibnu Sina University.
